Our trip to South Africa went very well, we covered 5,300 km without a hitch, the motorhome was comfortable and we were very pleased with the welcome we received from your partner in Johannesburg and Cape Town.
We really enjoyed South Africa and in particular the Kruger, Blyde River Canyon, the national parks, the Drakensberg, the Karoo and of course Cape Town and the whole region, and from the contacts we had, we found the people extremely friendly.
It wasn’t cold on our return, but we really missed the sun.
We just had a fender bender on one side, we found it like that in a car park and I’m waiting for a refund for the toll card we didn’t use (gauteng road tax), but when we returned the vehicle they informed us that they themselves wouldn’t receive the statement until a month later. So it shouldn’t be long now.
